God Conceals to Reveal!

God Conceals to Reveal!

Proverbs 25:2 The Passion Translation (TPT)

God conceals the revelation of his word[a] in the hiding place of his glory.[b] But the honor of kings[c] is revealed by how they thoroughly search out the deeper meaning of all that God says.”

Footnotes:

  1. Proverbs 25:2Many translate this “a matter,” whereas the Hebrew is dabar, which is translated more than eight hundred times in the Old Testament as “word.”
  2. Proverbs 25:2There is beautiful poetry in the Hebrew text. The word for “hide” is cathar and the word for “word” is dabar. The Hebrew is actually “Kabod (glory) cathar (hidden) dabar(word).”
  3. Proverbs 25:2We have been made kings and priests, royal lovers of God, because of God’s grace and Christ’s redeeming blood. See 1 Peter 2:9 and  5:8-10.

Think on this beloved ones… how loving parents love to hide things for their children (like hide and go seek) but enjoy more the moment the child discovers it? The joy is in their search and the delight of their heart as they search is the delight of the parents as well and they rejoice with their child when they finally discover that “hidden thing”! If we on earth behave in that way out of love for our children… how much more will the Father rejoice when WE seek Him and His truth/ways/plans KINGDOM out?

Jesus said it like this…

Matthew 7:11 The Passion Translation (TPT)

11 If you, imperfect as you are,[a] know how to lovingly take care of your children and give them what’s best, how much more ready is your heavenly Father to give wonderful gifts[b] {give his good Spirit} to those who ask him?”

Luke 11:13 The Passion Translation (TPT)

13 If imperfect parents know how to lovingly take care of their children and give them what they need, how much more will the perfect heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit’s fullness when his children ask him.”

Even this…

Matthew 6:33 The Passion Translation (TPT)

33 “So above all, constantly chase after the realm of God’s kingdom[a] and the righteousness that proceeds from him. Then all these less important things will be given to you abundantly.[b]

Footnotes:

  1. Matthew 6:33The Hebrew Matthew is “Above all, pray for the kingdom realm of God.”
  2. Matthew 6:33As translated from the Aramaic.

Less important things are referenced in prior scriptures as what we refer to as basic need… meaning HE has that covered when we truly seek for the realm of His Kingdom. Why is that you think?

When we are seeking His Kingdom realm and the righteousness that proceeds from Him, we are abiding IN Him in other words: under the shadow of El Shaddai! When your read Psalms 91 it is clear about the picture of that as well as what all happens. Take a look…

Psalm 91 The Passion Translation (TPT)

Safe and Secure

91 “1When you sit enthroned[a] under the shadow of Shaddai,[b]
you are hidden[c] in the strength of God Most High.
He’s the hope that holds me and the Stronghold to shelter me,
the only God for me, and my great confidence.
He will rescue you from every hidden trap of the enemy,[d]
and he will protect you from false accusation
    and any deadly curse.[e]
His massive arms[f] are wrapped around you, protecting you.
You can run under his covering of majesty and hide.
His arms of faithfulness are a shield keeping you from harm.
You will never worry about an attack of demonic forces at night
nor have to fear a spirit of darkness coming against you.
Don’t fear a thing!
Whether by night or by day, demonic danger will not trouble you,[g]
nor will the powers of evil launched against you.
Even in a time of disaster, with thousands and thousands being killed,
you will remain unscathed and unharmed.
you will be a spectator as the wicked perish in judgment,
for they will be paid back for what they have done!
9–10 When we live our lives within the shadow of God Most High,
our secret hiding place, we will always be shielded from harm.
How then could evil prevail against us or disease infect us?
11 God sends angels with special orders to protect you wherever you go,
    defending you from all harm.
12 If you walk into a trap, they’ll be there for you
    and keep you from stumbling.
13 You’ll even walk unharmed among the fiercest powers of darkness,[h]
trampling every one of them beneath your feet!
14 For here is what the Lord has spoken to me:
“Because you have delighted in me as my great lover,
    I will greatly protect you.
I will set you in a high place, safe and secure before my face.
15 I will answer your cry for help every time you pray,
and you will find and feel my presence
even in your time of pressure and trouble.
I will be your glorious hero and give you a feast.
16 You will be satisfied with a full life and with all that I do for you.
For you will enjoy the fullness of my salvation!”

Footnotes:

  1. Psalm 91:1Or “O, you who sits enthroned.” The Hebrew word yashab is often associated with one seated as royalty. It is translated in Ezek. 27:8 as “leaders or rulers.”
  2. Psalm 91:1Shaddai (šadday) is taken from a Hebrew root word with many expressive meanings. It can mean “God of the Mountain, God the Destroyer of Enemies, God the Self-Sufficient One, God the Nurturer of Babies, God the Almighty.”
  3. Psalm 91:1Or “I endure through the night.” See Job 39:28, where the same Hebrew word is used for an eagle passing the night on the high cliffs.
  4. Psalm 91:3Or “hunter.”
  5. Psalm 91:3As translated from the most ancient Hebrew manuscripts and the Septuagint. The Hebrew word can mean “poisoned arrows.”
  6. Psalm 91:4Or “wings.” Also found in the next sentence, “under his wings,” which speaks not of God having wings, but of the wings of the cherubim resting on the mercy seat. The implication is that we can always come to the mercy seat and rest without fear.
  7. Psalm 91:6Verses 5–6 are seen by many Jewish scholars as a reference not merely to pestilence and natural dangers but to the realm of spiritual darkness that would come against God’s servants. These spirits are equated to “arrows that fly in daytime” or “a pestilence that walks” in the darkness. God’s sheltered ones are kept from the harm that could come from natural sources or supernatural sources. What a wonderful place to hide and be secure!
  8. Psalm 91:13The Hebrew includes the words for “lions,” “snakes,” and “dragons” (Heb. basilisk) as the three great symbols of satanic power.

So being under HIS wings is actually sitting enthroned as kings & rulers (like lords or “landlords”) and being “under” is literally being under the “God of the Mountain, God the Destroyer of Enemies, God the Self-Sufficient One, God the Nurturer of Babies, God the Almighty.” How do you get in that position? By believing He is Who He is and believing you are who HE says you are! You demonstrate belief by action… when you step out as a choice of your will to act upon something GOD said to do like “sending the Hosts” or taking authority OVER the enemy in a situation or moment where he is actively bringing death, destruction, accusation, lies, deception or theft. When you do this, you are doing what Jesus commanded and your belief that HE is doing it because HE said TO do it… and you thank Him and worship Him, your position is in that secret hiding place WITH Him!

That is literally your armor… being hidden IN Christ!

Paul expounded upon it in order for us to “get it” in Galatians 6.

Read all of Psalms 91 above and the footnotes with it and ask Holy Spirit ot bring revelation of this key chapter for us in Psalms.

All of this ties together from “what” God is concealing to “being” concealed by Him and with Him!

God bless you!
